Framed Artwork by Donna Andreychuk
When framing Donna's paintings for clients our framing consultants are offend inspired by the individual colour palette of the piece. We have used a variety of float, shadowbox and tradition mouldings on her works. Donna's painting are versatile, working in modern and traditional styled homes. Framed Artwork by Kim Harrison
Artist, Kim Harrison is a Beal Art graduate who went on to graduate from the fine arts program at the University of Windsor, he taught at Fanshawe College and has held classes and workshops across Southwestern Ontario. Travel, literature and music have often inspired Kim’s work. Abstracted landscapes and portraiture are the main subjects of Kim's work. Texture and a strong colour palette are evident in his pieces.
Due the abstracted nature of Kim Harrison's landscapes we offend use modern mouldings to enhance the tone of the piece. Simple and sleek in design works in most home interiors. A mixed of float and shadowbox mouldings have previously been used. Click the mouldings below to get inspired. |
Framed Floral by Angie Quick
The Art Exchange staff used a combination frame (two mouldings joined to create one) for this design. This technique allowed us to construct our client's ideal look, traditional with a modern spin. The chosen white frame acts as linen, producing visual space between the painting and the ornate gold frame. The colours of the flowers are vibrant when paired with the antiqued gold. This design adds scale and volume to these smaller artworks while adding the client's personal aesthetic.

Framed Artwork by Sarah Hillock
Sarah Hillock is a oil painter who's work captures North American wildlife. The artist offend titles a her pieces with the name of the individual (ei. Devin.) This add a portrait like approach to the practice as she identifies with the individual instead of a broad study of the type of animal being presented.
The major of Sarah's work is large in size and done on mylar (plastic like paper). Large paintings on paper can be tricky to frame so it's important to take step to make sure it's presented right. The approach we take with Sarah's works is attaching painting to the backing using a kool tac process. This sticky adhesive flattens and straighten paper or in this case the mylar. The backing is acid free and the kool tac is easily removed with a hairdryer is changes ever had to be made. We always recommend using the Art Glass Anti-Reflective Glass to best show off the artwork. Frame spacing is added to create a gap between the work and glazing for moisture to pass through without build up. |
