Blast from the Past

Framing this pair of two dollar bills was an unusual project. Every piece has a story and this is even more evident when framing an object. The client had grown up in the town illustrated on the back of the bill. It was important to show both sides to convey what the object was. We kept the framing simple with a charcoal grey moulding and white mat. The bills were floated on a papaya coloured background to add a touch of fun to the piece. This piece now acts as a keepsake...what was once home now takes pride of place on the wall.

We chose a soft baby blue mat and rustic cream frame to complement this watercolour of a shop's exterior after rain.

The yellow natural wood frame and mat makes the purple forget-me-nots pop. Purple and yellow are complementary colours and are intensified when placed beside one another.

Adventurous Colour Palette

If you want a pop of colour to accent your artworks these Larson Juhl frames are the way to go. One of the most playful frame mouldings to work with, it can be used in a variety of different ways. For example it is perfect to bring out your favourite colour in a painting. It is our go to moulding for children's rooms whether for a decorative princess or dinosaur image or crafty art projects done by the child. We used the bright red frame in a past project to go around a black and white photograph of a single apple on a table.
